Okke Bloem

Okke Bloem is a photographer who moved to Norway in 2007. Originally, he comes from the Netherlands, where he borrowed a camera when he was very young. And interest in `Painting with light'; started there. Later he went to the ``Fotovak school''; for a year. (school of photography) As a freelance photographer, he occasionally worked for a local newspaper, and did other advertising and wedding photography. In collaboration with a Dutch publisher, he has published a book about a Dutch city. ( `Daarom Zwolle` ) In the years 2022 and 2023 he gave Photography lessons, and this year he will do the same, but this time with children. Otherwise, he runs a photo studio, where he can take on assignments, or work on photo projects.
In recent years, he has been working with acrylic paint, preferably abstract, where lines and forms are a major element. It's hard to say if he has a distinctive style, but he likes to try to find interesting contrasts. He likes to look for new paths in art, and wants to draw the viewers into the picture to let their thoughts run their course.
